Gela’ ti amo

Gela' ti amo is a small artisan gelateria on Main Street, next to the Royal Calpe pub, with movable tables outside. It was a Google-only listing until today; its Tripadvisor page was found and attached on 6 September 2026, so Tripadvisor now counts alongside Google. It stands at 4.7 from 70 Tripadvisor reviews and 4.8 from 153 on Google, for an Index of 4.70. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026, and the newest is from the end of August.

The verdict on both sites is close to unanimous: the best ice cream in Gibraltar, made on the premises, creamy, fresh, in big portions at fair prices. Pistachio is the flavour people return for, including a sugar-free version; tiramisu, raspberry ripple, white Kinder Bueno and a vegan cookie gelato all get named, and the strawberry and mango granitas and iced fruit drinks are a recurring stop after a walk on the Rock. There is even a dog ice cream. Tastes of each flavour are offered, and the owner, Eddie, is thanked by name for the welcome.

The dissent is mild but real. A July 2024 Tripadvisor visitor was served from the bottom of nearly empty tubs and found the Rock and Snickers flavours short of their promised bits; a December 2025 reviewer called it perfectly decent but not the best they had had. One 2019 review refers to the shop by another name, Gelateria Dolce Vita, so treat that one loosely.

Prices in the reviews are modest: a large tub for £4.50 in 2022, and three scoop-heavy portions for about £10 in 2019. Fast, friendly service is the norm; the only practical note is that it is small and closes earlier than one couple hoped after dinner.
