What we know about you, and what we don't.
Almost nothing, by design. This is a static site with no accounts and no advertising network. The only personal data we hold is an email address you have typed into one of two forms, and only if you chose to — plus anonymous usage statistics, but only if you accept cookies on the banner.

The short version
We collect an email address only when you submit the newsletter form or the enquiry form. Cookies — currently just Google Analytics — are set only if you accept them on the cookie banner; decline and this site sets no cookies at all. We never sell or share your data for marketing. Affiliate links to booking partners take you to their sites, which have their own privacy practices. You can ask us to delete anything we hold at any time.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, if you enter it and press subscribe.
- Enquiries and corrections: if you use theenquiry form, we receive your message, the subject you picked, the page it relates to, and your email address so we can reply.
- Server logs: like any website, our host records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, the pages requested — for security and to keep the site running. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
What we don't collect
No accounts or passwords. No advertising pixels. No visitor tracking beyond the consent-gated analytics described below — and if you decline it, no cookies set by this site at all. No location data beyond the coarse detail in a standard server log and the country-level view analytics gives us. We do not buy data about you from anyone, and we do not combine what little we hold with outside sources.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people and where visitors come from — counts and trends, not identities. It runs only after you press "Accept" on the cookie banner: until then no analytics script loads, nothing is sent to Google, and no cookie is set. If we ever add anything else that sets a cookie, it will sit behind the same banner and be listed here first. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its _ga cookies to tell returning browsers apart; the data is processed by Google undertheir privacy policy. We have not enabled advertising features or Google Signals.
Your choice — either way — is remembered in your browser so we don't ask again. You can change it any time:. Deleting this site's cookies and site data in your browser does the same.
Why, and the legal basis
We use your email for the single purpose you gave it for: to send the newsletter you asked for, or to answer the enquiry you sent. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time — every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link, and a reply of "unsubscribe" or "delete me" to any of our messages is enough.
Who else touches it
The site is hosted on Netlify, and the two forms are handled by Netlify Forms. That means Netlify processes your submission on our behalf and stores it so we can read it. They act as our data processor under their own privacy terms. We do not send your data to any other third party for processing.

Some links to book a stay or an activity are affiliate links: if you book after clicking one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. This never changes the rankings — see how we make money. Following one takes you to a partner such as Stay22 or GetYourGuide, whose site may set its own cookies and has its own privacy policy. What happens once you leave our site is governed by theirs, not this page.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept for as long as it takes to deal with them and a reasonable period afterwards in case you write back, then deleted. If you ask us to remove your data sooner, we will.
Your rights
Under Gibraltar and UK data-protection law you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can object to or restrict our use of it. There is no charge for a reasonable request, and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have mishandled your data you can complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
