Using this site means you accept what is on this page. It is short because the site is simple: we publish independent rankings and guides, and we link out to partners who take the actual bookings. We never take your money ourselves.

Who we are
Botley Consultants Ltd, trading as Gibraltar Index is an independent guide to staying, eating and spending time in Gibraltar. We are not owned by, or acting for, any hotel, restaurant, tour operator or booking platform. "We" and "us" on this page mean Botley Consultants Ltd, trading as Gibraltar Index; "you" means anyone using the site.
The rankings are our opinion
Our rankings, scores and verdicts are editorial judgements, formed from guest-review data and our own research, and set out openly in how we rate. They are honest but they are opinions, not statements of fact, and reasonable people may disagree. No business can pay to change its position, and none has. If you think we have a place wrong, tell us — we correct things.
Bookings and money
We do not take bookings or payments on this site. When you decide to book, you leave us for a partner — a hotel, or a platform such as Stay22 or GetYourGuide — and any booking is a contract between you and them, on their terms. Prices, availability and cancellation rules are theirs, and can change after we last checked.
Some of those links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. That is how the site pays for itself, and it never affects the rankings. The full explanation is in how we make money.
We try hard on accuracy, but
Gibraltar changes — places close, prices move, a treaty rewrites the border. We date our research and re-check it, but we cannot promise every detail is current at the moment you read it. Check anything that matters — opening times, prices, entry rules — with the business or the official source before you rely on it. Content and copyright
The writing, rankings and design here are ours, and you may not republish them wholesale or present our rankings as your own. You are welcome to link to us, and to quote a short passage with credit. Photographs are used under their own licences and credited on the credits page; those belong to their photographers, not to us, and their licences travel with them.
Using the site
Please use the site normally and lawfully: no scraping it wholesale, no attempts to break or overload it, no using the forms to send abuse or spam. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.
Liability
We provide the site in good faith and free of charge, and use it at your own discretion. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, from relying on information that has since changed, or from anything that happens on a partner's site after you leave ours. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Gibraltar, and the courts of Gibraltar have jurisdiction. If we change the terms, the updated version appears here with a new date at the top; continuing to use the site means you accept the change.
