Our review
Le Petit Chef is the projection-mapped dinner show on Ocean Village Promenade, where an animation plays across the table between courses. It is not on Tripadvisor; on Google it scores 4.2 from 5 reviews, so it is listed on the Index but not ranked. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026; only three have text, and the newest is from December 2023, nearly three years ago.
Two December 2023 reviews are delighted: a cosy curtained-off table, lighting one guest calls quite unbelievable, and food described as beautifully presented and, by a frequent visitor to Gibraltar, the best they had eaten here. One couple was surprised to find the table shared with strangers, though they left having made friends.
The third review, from September 2023, is the opposite and in detail. Flavours hidden under sauces and glazes, an ordinary tomato and mozzarella starter, a beef fillet served dry and well done without anyone asking how it should be cooked, and a dessert of three scoops of tub ice cream with packet biscuits, all for close to €300 a couple. The animation was called pleasant but not impressive; only the attentive waiters were praised, and the room holds a single table of eight.
Three opinions, split two to one and all from 2023, are not evidence of what the show is like today, or whether it still runs in the same form. The price makes the food question matter more, not less.

We weren’t sure what to expect but the whole evening was fantastic,the cosy curtained off table with the quite unbelievable lighting taking you every step of what to expect. The food was something else as a frequent visitor to Gibraltar I can honestly say it was the best we have had. The only thing which we weren’t told about was the sharmore →

La comida es muy básica...de poca calidad y sabor, sabores camuflados entre salsas y glaseados...para empezar una ensalada de tomate y mozarela, nada especial, el solomillo de ternera super seco, muy hecho, ni siquiera preguntan el punto en el que deseas la carne....y el postre...vergonzoso para una cena de casi 300€ la pareja...tres bolamore →
