Our review
O'Reilly's is an Irish pub on the marina at Ocean Village, next to the Sunborn, with a large terrace, a big screen and a kitchen doing pub food and themed nights. It holds 3.6 on Tripadvisor from 643 reviews and 4 on Google from 906, for an Index of 3.80. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026 and the newest is from that day.
Two separate couples in the first days of September 2026 ordered the £10.95 sausage and mash offer, which includes a beer, and both describe cold sausages and cold mash floating in a bowl of tepid gravy, with nobody properly asking about an untouched plate. That is the freshest picture of the kitchen. It is not the only one: an August reviewer found a piece of hard plastic in a salad, a German group found the paella overcooked and the tuna salad from a tin, and another describes food that tasted "dipped in fat".
Yet the same weeks produced real praise. A family who went four times rated the themed-night offers good value with a drink included, a fussy eater called the manager Mario's recommendations superb, the chicken skewers and a fillet steak were both called excellent, and a July reviewer described it as an authentic Irish gem. The terrace over the marina and the Guinness are constants.
Service is the thread through nearly every low score, and reviewers say why: two staff for a full house, a manager who blames a Gibraltar-wide staff shortage, twenty-minute queues at the bar, drinks that never arrive but appear on the bill, no cutlery, a bill dropped before pudding, and beer barrels nobody is free to change. Two safety points from May and July 2026 stand: brownies containing nuts with nothing on the menu to say so, and a request for vegan cheese answered by simply leaving it off without asking.
Come for a pint and the football on the terrace, and if you eat, order from what the recent praise names rather than the cheap offers, and say any allergy out loud. Go somewhere else if you are short of time or patience, because understaffing is the one thing regulars and first-timers agree on. Very poor meal
O'Reilly's Irish Pub Gibraltar Worst meal for a very long time 1076084985 I went to O’Reilly’s Bar in Gibraltar with Claire for a meal, and honestly, this was probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. Poor Food
My husband and I went for dinner here on a Monday night and ordered the Sausage & Mash offer. It was cold, absolutely swimming in gravy and the sausages were poor quality and cold because the gravy was cold. I honestly think it was one of the worst meals ever. I would recommend
We went here four times during our break. Twice for drinks and twice to eat. The drinks were what you would expect. The food was good. They have themed nights so we eat in line with their offers. They were good value for money and included a drink. Service was good. It was nice to sit outside on the terrace and watch people pass by. Recommore →

O’Reillys five star
Gone to O’Reillys on the Marina in Gibraltar sat down and the Manager come over straight away and served us recommended two mills and they were absolutely amazing. I’m a really fussy eater but the food we had was superb so fresh and tasty the service was spot-on very calm, relaxing place in the afternoon location is really nice beautiful more →

Lovely location over looking the marina, good choice of beers as well as food. Ordered the Chicken skewers which were excellent. Fast and friendly service, reasonable pricing. Would definitely recommend.more →

We had friends come to visit so thought OReillys would be a good choice as in the past we have enjoyed it there The staff were so overwhelmed with how many just two of them had to serve The food was average but ok although I had a cm size price of hard plastic in my salad Nothing was done about this The drinks ordered did not arrive on twmore →

I would not come here again. The staff are so rude and seem put out that you would like to order a drink. This does not fit in with the rest of the location. Didn't matter what white wine you asked for you just got what they poured.more →
