Charlie's is a Marina Bay grill with an extensive menu that runs from steaks to a full Indian list, fish and chips, ribs, fajitas and nachos, and the reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026. It scores 4.2 on Tripadvisor from 700 reviews and 4.4 on Google from 673, for an Index of 4.30, and the newest reviews are from August 2026.

The steak is the headline when it goes right. Two ribeyes in March 2026 were called phenomenal and the best steak in Gibraltar, a July diner had one perfectly cooked, and a Norwegian reviewer praised the beef, burger and fries. The curries are generous, with a children's chicken tikka masala tasting like a favourite curry house back home and an allergy sufferer calling the Indian dishes authentic, though another found the flavours a different twist from what they expected. Prawns au gratin, a huge bucket of fish, crisp onion strings and a homemade New York cheesecake are named with pleasure.

The room helps: booth seating, spotless, air-conditioned, tables outside, busy enough that booking is advised. The care can be exceptional, with a waiter walking a garlic-allergic diner through the menu dish by dish, and Santiago is named for service above and beyond.

The failures are real. A T-bone in March 2026 came out rotten, past its date by the manager's own admission, with only half knocked off the price; an August mixed grill was millimetre-thin and burnt, and the waiter shrugged when told. Service is the recurring fault line: waiters described as sullen, frosty and unfriendly across several visits, staff doing shots with customers while others waited, a bill begged for three times, a birthday unacknowledged, and a Spanish reviewer wishing they had been warned how large the portions were before over-ordering at high prices.

Great food and great prices
Was staying nearby and saw the menu online which had a great choice so booked for my husbands birthday. We arrived slightly early but accommodated, including being sat inside as requested for the aircon as it was super hot outside. The food we chose was all cooked perfectly and very plentiful, we couldn’t eat it all. The service was spot more →

Would never eat here again. I ordered what can only be described as a mixed grill. It was the worst food I have ever eaten, pieces of meat that were no thicker than a few mm and burnt. Friends had curry which looked ok, I cannot understand why restaurants have such extensive menus when its obvious from the food I was served they aren't spmore →

Nice Food
Came here for dinner we sat outside which was nice the service from the waiters was great and the food was very nice.Had prawns Au Gratin to start which was amazing followed by a great big Rib eye steak which again was very nice. The attentiveness of the staff was very poor. The food was okay for the price, staff sitting taking shots with customers rather than serving people waiting wasn’t a good look. Had to beg to get the bill 3 times, not sure we will be back.more →

Whilst in Gibraltar we called in at Charlie's for dinner. Tables in the main restaurant and also outside. Fairly busy. The menu is extensive which covers pretty much all of the usual dishes and quite a few intriguing others. We stuck to fish & chips and spare ribs. A range of Indian offers is also available.
