Its defenders are clear about what it is for. Chicken and chips, barbecue or roast, and wraps, described as tasty, fresh, very cheap and generously portioned, with staff who were polite and welcoming to a late arrival who was even let wash their hands in the sink afterwards. One reviewer sums it up as pop in and pop out, and doubts that eating in is a solid option.

The dissent is just as plain, and it is close to half the sample. Complaints run from reheated chicken and chips in the newest review, to being refused service fifteen minutes before closing, rubbery chicken and no garlic sauce in a wrap, rude staff, a dirty and run-down room and, in one 2024 account, food poisoning across a group of colleagues within two days.
