Our review

Gill's is a large restaurant tucked down a side street by Marina Bay, with a very long menu that runs Indian curries alongside steaks, grills, pizza, pasta, burgers and noodles. It holds 5.0 on Tripadvisor from 21 reviews and 4.8 on Google from 148, which gives an Index of 4.80. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026 and the newest are from the end of August.

The Indian side is what most people order and praise: onion bhajis that arrive six to a plate, lamb rogan josh, chicken shashlik, prawn puri, chicken bhuna, chicken tikka balti, a garlic mushroom curry, butter chicken, garlic chilli lamb and a peshwari naan called the best. A Spanish reviewer in August calls the Indian food some of the best they have eaten, and one regular had a curry not on the menu made anyway and better than at home. The grill and the noodles also get named, and one reviewer's kids ate pizza and lasagne while the adults had curry.

The room is large, well presented and, per a November 2025 review, spotless, and service is called attentive without being pushy. Free poppadoms arrive while you wait and a complimentary shot in a chilled glass comes after; Tony and Dharminder are named, and one party describes staff helping a disabled relative out of his chair. Families of eight and ten found everyone catered for.

The one four-star is the honest counterweight: toilets that let it down, a feedback sheet handed over already filled in with fives, and a menu so broad that the decor has no identity. Another reviewer found the inside lighting a bit bright, and early evenings are quiet. The Tripadvisor sample remains modest.

Excellent!
Superb restaurant with an extremely rich menu (Indian, burgers, Italian and pizzas, grilled dishes, and much more). The products are very good. The welcome is remarkable and the staff is very attentive and pleasant. We had a superb evening at this establishment in August 2026. I recommend it without hesitation! Great Service, Great food! Nothing more to say!
Amazing, such a massive range of options for food which catered for the fussy kids in our party. A real hidden gem, and everyone loved the dishes they had chosen, ranging from pizza, noodles, Lasagne and curry. Would definitely recommend and will return next time we are here.more →

Bhajis, Betrayal, and Big Flavours
We absolutely loved this restaurant. Yes, it’s tucked away on a side street like it’s playing hide and seek, but honestly, the food more than makes up for it. The onion bhajis? Unreal. Super tasty mix of food and great service
The restaurant is set off the beat and track and was quiet but the menu had what we were looking for. We ordered four dishes to share as we were looking for a tapas type menu but couldn’t find anywhere that had anything like that.
