Our review

Nunos At The Express is an Italian beside the Holiday Inn Express on Devil's Tower Road, doing pizza, daily handmade pasta and breakfasts in a modern room. It holds 4.4 on Tripadvisor from 92 reviews and 4.4 on Google from 178, exact agreement that sets the Index at 4.40. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026, with the newest from July.

Handmade pasta is the headline. It is made in house each day, you can watch it being made and buy it from the deli, and one Google reviewer calls the carbonara the best they have ever eaten. A solo diner in February 2026 walked in because it was near his room and had 'one of the best meals of my life': hot oil-soaked bread, crispy calamari with courgette, grandmother's meatballs in tomato sauce, a pistachio tiramisu. The pizza gets the same warmth for its crust, and a diavola, a Sorrentino-style pasta, a parmigiana and a mushroom risotto are all named. Two separate parties ate here every night of a three-night stay.

Most call it authentic, though one 2024 reviewer felt it read like a chain. Children are handled well without a children's menu: dishes come sized down on request, and one six-year-old's pizza arrived shaped like a fish. Staff are called friendly, kind and fun, and one guest was pleased to see them eating together on their break. Gluten-free pasta and pizza bases are available if you ask.

The caveats are specific. In March 2026 a diner watched a large party served first, tongs dropped and picked straight up, and the pizza-oven brush then used on the floor. In June 2026 a breakfast omelette came with a surprising charge for extras and an unannounced 10% service fee, and the reviewer called the place expensive for what it is. Portions are called huge by some and smallish by others, pasta once arrived long before the pizzas and went cold, and one 2024 visitor found it closed on a Monday.

Come for house-made pasta and a properly good pizza in an unglamorous spot that quietly outperforms its setting, and bring children. Authentic Italian - Deserves to be busier on a Saturday night
I walked in because it was close to my accommodation and had one of the best meals of my life. The service and food were both faultless. First I was presented with a small piece of Olive Oil soaked Pane, hot from the oven. Good for pizzas
Nice restaurant but they didn’t offer a children’s menu - they did tell us that they can do most of the dishes child sized. My 6yo’s pizza came out nearly the same size at the adult pizzas, but that’s not a complaint at all! They did turn it into a fish shape too which was cute. Ordered pasta but it came out a while before everyone else’smore →

Had a wonderful dinner at Nunos! The pizza is really good, with a fantastic crust and great flavor. They are also known for their daily handmade pasta, and you can really taste the quality. I went there for breakfast and ordered an omelette with a few extras, which came with a surprisingly high additional charge. It wasn't nearly good enough to justify the price I paid. I was also charged a 10% service fee, which I was not informed about beforehand. Overall, it's an expensive place and, in my opinion, not worth the money.more →
