The Hendrix is a British pub at Tradewinds by the Ocean Village marina, and the reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026. It scores 4.1 on Tripadvisor from 189 reviews and 4.3 on Google from 376, for an Index of 4.20, and the newest review is from 3 September 2026.

This is a social pub before it is a kitchen, and the calendar shows it: a Tuesday quiz hosted by Tina that several reviewers call the best night out they had in Gibraltar, a Thursday quiz mentioned in September, bingo on Wednesdays, karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays, live singers, and any sport you want on the screens. The owner, Paul, walks the tables and is called one of the nicest people a reviewer has met; Tina is named again and again for her energy and humour, with Dani and Anoosha alongside. It is dog-friendly, and a regular notes there is no music after eight.

The drinks are the strong side, with the Guinness singled out repeatedly, one pair of former publicans calling the Guinness and wine the best in Gibraltar, and happy hours praised for value. Food is simple and mostly liked: a generous Sunday roast with all the trimmings, a half English breakfast with an Old English cider, fish and chips, and prices reviewers call brilliant.

The kitchen is where the criticism lands. An August 2026 visitor waited half an hour for chips that arrived with onions, peppers and chilli not mentioned on the menu, and thought the food and food service left a lot to be desired; a French reviewer the same month found the chips uncooked and the burger meat bad; a December visitor found things a little greasy. It is a minority, but it is consistent about what it complains of.

Fantastic place

Best quiz EVER!! 👌
We wentnon their new quiz night (Tuesdays), Hilarious night, fantastic atmosphere, everyone just mixed together and had fun.
