• The spa is what guests rave about — the 22m pool, sauna, steam room and plunge pool come up again and again, "one of the nicest I've ever been to". Note it belongs to E1 Suites & Spa — other operators' flats only include it where their listing says so.
• Reception staff are named and thanked repeatedly for fixing problems, including guests' own booking mistakes.
• The aparthotel format earns its keep — full kitchens, laundry, spacious suites, and runway-and-Rock views from the upper floors.
• Freska, the ground-floor restaurant, is rated good value from breakfast through supper.

Worth knowing. A recurring complaint, in more than one language, about payment friction on third-party bookings: guests arriving on "pay later" terms found a different policy applied on arrival, with extra charges. Book direct or confirm payment terms first.

On the evidence, E1 carries Gibraltar's strongest aparthotel and it isn't close: the spa is genuinely resort-grade, the staff get named in review after review, and the suites work for stays where a hotel room wouldn't. The caution is real — confirm payment terms before arriving — and remember the spa belongs to one operator: a flat elsewhere in the tower only includes it if its listing explicitly says so.
