54 Dining & Cafe is the café-restaurant inside Tercentenary Hall on Bayside Road, close to the frontier and a minute behind Ocean Village. It scores 4.4 on Tripadvisor from 7 reviews and 4.3 on Google from 36, and the Index puts it at 4.30. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026 and the newest are from August 2026.

By day it is the sports hall's café and reviewers say so with affection: a cheap, friendly breakfast just over the border, good coffee, hot fresh food, smiling waitresses and spotless toilets back in the changing rooms. A Spanish visitor in August 2026 singled out a waitress who served them straight away in a full room and never lost her smile.

The dining side is seafood and Mediterranean plates: gambas pil-pil, octopus salad and Russian salad described as fresh and well presented, and a peppered pork and a chicken in cream sauce with rice at £5.50 each in 2020 that a couple called a bargain. One reviewer rates the gin and tonic the best on the Rock. The newest Tripadvisor review, from August 2026, is for a 30th birthday party: patient planning, attentive staff, good prices and packages with decorations and a DJ.

One caveat sits in the record and should. A February 2024 reviewer was violently ill within hours of a pork baguette ordered for delivery through Nom Noms, and heard nothing back from a manager. It is a single account against an otherwise warm record, and a delivery order rather than a meal in; a 2020 diner also noted a wait.

Impressed
I had my partner’s 30th birthday here and I highly recommend to all. They were very patient and tried to meet all my requirements. The two ladies who were serving us for the evening, were really good! They were on top of the guest constantly making sure they had drinks and food. It was also very well priced! Food gave me food poisoning.
Ordered Breakfast through this company on Thursday morning as always. I have used this company a few times and never had any issues. I ordered a pork Baguette at 10am, by 1pm I was being violently sick at work. I was sent home with possibly the worst stomach cramps, shakes and sickness I have ever had. Outstanding food
We recently visited 50 for Dining and Cafe and were overwhelmed with the quality of the food I had gambas pill pill followed by octopus salad and Russian salad everything fresh presented well and the staff couldn’t be more friendlier a fantastic experience we will definitely be going back. Great Place. Good value for money.

What a gem 😋
What a gem. Found this place tucked away at the back of Ocean Village. I had peppered pork and my wife had chicken with a cream sauce both with rice. At £5.50 each it was a bargain. If there was a downside we had to wait awhile but it was well worth it. Got a week to go and we’ll definitely be coming back here again for lunch.more →
