Aqua Bar is the pool bar on the Sunborn's seventh deck at Ocean Village, drinks and snacks rather than meals: 4.0 on Tripadvisor from 46 reviews, 5.0 on Google from 4, and an Index of 4.10. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026. Only 17 carry text, the newest from August 2026, and almost all are written by hotel guests.

Vicky is the name now. She is thanked in the two newest Tripadvisor reviews and on Google for cheerful, VIP-style hosting; in 2024 and early 2025 the same role was filled by Natalia, named in review after review for generous measures and a Baileys with plenty of ice. Soraya, Fran, Diana and Andrew appear too, and happy hour draws mention, with a DJ and two-for-one drinks on Friday evenings in a 2019 account that may no longer hold.

The setting is the rest of it: comfy seating, good music, a small pool for a dip, and the best position in Ocean Village. It gets busy and seats are limited, and reviewers say so without much complaint.

The critical reviews are old, from 2020 and 2021, but they are the only ones that mention money: a 10 per cent discretionary service charge on a £14.50 round, £3.30 for a coke, dirty-looking plastic cones for beer by the pool, tables not cleared, and drilling from a rig nearby. Nothing recent repeats them, but nothing recent is more than a thank-you to a barmaid either.

Come for a drink by the pool with a marina view if you are aboard or passing through Ocean Village, and expect warm, named service; do not come for a meal or a night out in its own right. Nobody from Gibraltar Index has drunk here; this write-up is from the reviews, and there are few of them.
