Our review

Cork & Fork is a small homemade-food café and takeaway at 30 Irish Town, the quieter street parallel to Main Street. It scores 4.3 on Tripadvisor from 33 reviews and 4.5 on Google from 72, and the Index, weighing both, puts it at 4.4. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026, and the newest are from August, so the picture is current.

The food is fresh and made in house: flatbreads and sandwiches on freshly baked pitta, homemade meatballs and salads, brunch plates such as scrambled eggs with salmon and avocado, English breakfasts cooked to order, pressed juices, smoothies and ginger shots, and a gluten-free chocolate cake one reviewer rated as serious chocolate. Vegetarian options feature, though a July 2026 visitor suspected the falafel in their pitta was a shop-bought veggie burger.

The 2026 reviews are the warmest yet. An August visitor praised the coffee, the breakfast and the Croatian co-owner's welcome; a company ordered brunch for a whole office in July, with Pedro handling more than 30 items, and called it the best breakfast they had had in Gibraltar; another regular noted a fresh redecoration. Free wifi and charging points get mentioned, and locals use it, which reviewers treat as the recommendation.

The caveats are modest. Coffee divides people: several call it very good, but a May 2026 visitor found it merely OK with no specialty coffee on offer, and older reviewers found it average. A few think it a touch pricey for the portion, with a meagre flatbread filling and a £2.25 small coffee noted in 2020, and there is one bad plate on record, a near-raw late brunch in 2021, plus a slow service when one person ran a big group alone.

Come for a fresh, healthy brunch, flatbread or smoothie away from the Main Street crowds, or to order breakfast for a group; go for the food rather than a specialist coffee, and expect to pay a little more than the cheapest cafés. great brunch place, a lovely mix of mediterranean and the uk!
popped in here with family for a quick snack and they did not disappoint! they have plenty of choice of food and drink, the place wasn't at all crowded at midday and they had charging ports to use! the staff were so lovely to us and i would 100% recommend this place!more →

Never had a more disappointing plate of food
We came in just after 12 to see if we could get some brunch. The person behind the counter said we were slightly late for it but said it was fine if we ordered brunch food which we appreciated. I got the falafel hummus and tomato pitta, and while it was good, that wasn't falafel. I'm pretty sure it was the pea/spinach vegetarian burgers from mercadona. For the price, you'd hope you'd get what you order.more →
