Costa Coffee at 256 Main Street is the UK chain's main Gibraltar branch and the most reviewed coffee shop on the Index: 4.0 on Google across 475 reviews, giving an Index of 4.00. It is not on Tripadvisor. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026, and the newest dozen with text, from January to August 2026, are all five stars bar one.
The praise is for the people behind the counter more than the brand. Lewis is thanked for helping a couple find the right drinks, David for being helpful, and a tall barista with blue eyes, Andrea by one reviewer's guess, for being quick and kind with someone on a short work break. Speed comes up more than once, and so does a free glass of water handed over unasked.
The drinks named are the cappuccino, a strawberry matcha, a frappé and an iced latte, and the food is a muffin, cakes and biscuits. Reviews arrive in Spanish, Czech, Hungarian, Polish and German as well as English, which says something about who walks Main Street. The one lukewarm review, a four-star German shrug in April, is the closest thing to a complaint in this batch.
