The Indian side is the strength and reviewers say so directly: do not let the Tex-Mex in the name put you off. In June 2026 three Google reviewers in a week called the food excellent, flavoursome and, for one, their personal favourite Indian in Gibraltar. Chicken phal and lamb phaal are named for heat that builds rather than punishes, and chicken saag, pasanda, butter chicken, dhansak, korma and a cheese and garlic naan are all praised, with a Polish reviewer recommending the BBQ ribs and a chicken fajita getting a nod from an otherwise critical visitor. Portions are generous and prices reasonable, a constant across five years of reviews.

There are real cautions. In March 2026 one diner said the place had 'deteriorated in quality recently', and another found the curries watery and, more seriously, nuts in a naan that was not supposed to contain them. That sits awkwardly against a November 2025 review praising how a nut allergy was catered for: on the record, the kitchen has got this both right and wrong. A June 2026 reviewer was happy with the food but found the toilets unhygienic.

Complaint handling is the darker thread. An October 2025 diner who found a live fly in their meal says the waiter called them a liar, twice, before a manager apologised and struck the dish off the bill; a 2021 takeaway arrived after nearly two hours with a cockroach on a container, and the phone was put down on the customer. A February 2025 visitor met a surly waiter and the wrong spice level. These are a minority against a warm run, but they are specific.

Come for well-priced, generously portioned Indian food, ordered from the Indian half of the menu, with the phal if you want heat. Go in knowing the allergy record is mixed, that a couple of 2026 reviews report a dip, and that complaints have not always been met with grace.
