Our review

Hall of Fame is a restaurant and bar in a restored historic building on Ragged Staff Road at Queensway Quay. It holds 4.6 on Tripadvisor from 11 reviews and 4.3 on Google from 38, which gives an Index of 4.30 on a small combined count. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026, and the currency is the main caution: the newest Tripadvisor review is from April 2024, most are from 2018 to 2020, and the newest Google review, from July 2026, is three words long.

The building is the story. It was an ammunition depot in the First World War, has been restored around a collection of Gibraltarian photographs and relics, and reviewers who knew it before describe the renovation as magnificent. One long-time visitor walked past for ten years admiring the art on the outside wall before realising there was a restaurant behind it, and booked in 2024 after seeing a live music night advertised.

The menu as reviewers describe it is meat and fish chosen from chilled display cases, with the portion size picked at the counter, plus tapas, a parrillada for four and a wine list. Portions are large. Live music, a dance floor and plenty of room make it a natural function venue, and the Google reviews are mostly parties: a Christmas party, a surprise birthday, a good place for parties. Parking is outside.

The dissent is old but specific. A January 2020 visitor found the room unassuming outside and interesting inside, but the staff inattentive, a bottle of gin visible while being told there was none, and the sides lacking. A June 2024 takeaway of chips and a stale roll for four pounds drew a two-star review, and nothing since gives much detail either way.

Come for a function, a party or a meat-and-fish dinner in one of the more striking restored rooms on the quay, with live music some nights; go in knowing the reviews are thin, mostly years old, and that the rating is provisional. A great night out.
In over ten years of visiting the Rock, this was the first time I've dined at the Hall of Fame. I have walked by many times, admiring the art on the outside wall, not realising it was a restaurant. This year it popped up on my Facebook feed advertising live music so I made a booking. I am so glad that I did. We all had the same food. Parrmore →

I went here with colleagues after reading recent reviews. The venue itself is very unassuming from the outside but interesting on the inside - would be great for functions. A lot of issues lost in translation, i.e. I was advised there was no gin (?!) but could see a bottle. We were the only table in and staff weren't particularly attentivmore →

Amazing venue, so impressive
After a very bad experience with poor staff and wine ,we visited Hall of Fame and received excellent drinks, service and had the change to see a fantastic renovation. Well priced and highly recommend visiting.more →

An ideal lunchtime venue
A great place for lunch with friends or business associates. The building is full of history and allows for quiet and not so quiet meetings to take place.
