Intervals Cafe is a small café inside the Alameda Botanic Gardens in the South District. It is not on Tripadvisor; on Google it has 4.8 from 4 reviews, three of them with text, re-read on 6 September 2026. The three reviews agree on the setting and the welcome. One calls it lovely and tranquil, a good place to stop for a drink and a snack while exploring the gardens; another had toasties with gin and tonics and coffees and praises the one person who seemed to be server, waiter and chef at once.
The newest review, in Portuguese from July 2026, could not get lunch because the café was closing early for an event, but still found the person very friendly and the place very appealing. It is a reminder that hours here can bend around whatever is happening in the gardens.
