Kashmiri Curry House is a small Indian restaurant and takeaway on South Barrack Road, in the south of town. It is not on Tripadvisor; on Google it scores 3.9 from 64 reviews, and the Index is 4.00. We re-read the reviews on 6 September 2026, twelve with text; the newest is from June 2026, and most of the sample is 2022 to 2024, so the picture is not especially current.
The praise is for a welcoming, unfussy curry house. A June 2026 visitor arrived hungry and tired, was steered to the perfect dish and called the staff absolutely lovely; a November 2025 chicken tikka masala wrap was 'stunning'. A French reviewer in February 2025 found it an easy walk after Rodger's Steps, with a big menu, photos in the kitchen to point at, plenty for vegetarians and very fair prices. Older accounts describe a couple of tables, spice adjusted to taste and a friendly chat when it is quiet.
The complaints are fewer but sharp. An August 2024 regular who called it usually the best Indian in Gibraltar said it had been getting worse, with a tasteless, watery tikka masala. A March 2024 keema arrived with cheese not listed on the menu or allergens. A 2023 delivery customer describes being charged for a bottle that was never delivered and being hung up on, and another had a late order.
Come for friendly, well-priced, adjustable-spice curry away from the tourist centre, leaning to takeaway or a quick sit-down at one of the few tables. Petit restaurant facilement accessible à pied après les deux montées des Rodger’s Steps. Vous recevez la carte avec les noms des menus et vous regardez les photos affichées en cuisine.
