La Playita is the beach bar on Western Beach, next to the airport, with a car park beside it. It scores 4.2 on Google across 50 reviews, Index 4.20, and is not on Tripadvisor. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026; 13 carry text and the newest is from late August 2026.
The warm reviews are about cheap, generous food and the people serving it. Homemade tortilla at a fair price, a good breakfast roll, and a lunch that surprised a Spanish visitor by being good and reasonable a few steps from the sand. Belén and Noah on the floor and Estefanía, or Fany, in the kitchen are thanked by name in two August 2026 reviews; one visitor in May called it a hidden gem of the whole peninsula, mostly for the waitress's kindness.
The complaints are price and freshness. A July 2026 reviewer liked the view and the welcome but found the fideos tasted of boiled noodles rather than seafood, the salad came from a bag and sardines were ten euros; an October 2024 review calls it all fast food; and an August 2026 one-star is a dispute over a €9.50 lomitos menu, a €5 ice cream and a new employee's manners, which says more about one shift than the kitchen. Service is slow by one account, forgiven for the prices.
Hours are unclear from the reviews. A 2022 review has the kitchen closing at 15:30 and shut at weekends; an August 2025 review wishes it stayed open past 9pm, which suggests longer hours now. Check before you plan an evening.

Pues mi reseña una auténtica barbaridad por una de las empleadas un menú de 2 lomitos un huevo y patatas fritas me acaban de cobrar &9.50 cuando dijeron que los trabajadores se les cobraría menos y un helado 5€ yo lo veo excesivo es decir yo como trabajador ya no entro más a este chiringuito porque la empleada nueva una chica joven ni tiemore →

Muy buenas vistas, muy buen trato pero si es verdad que la comida es muy cara y si todavía pago por algo caro y está bueno.. vale, pero los fideos no sabían a marisco, sabía a fideos cocidos, sardinas a 10 euros... cuando en malaga te comes un espetó por 2 euros o 3 y la ensalada era de bolsa y con cosas agregadas.more →
