Our review

Latinos Bistro & Lounge Bar is on Main Street, and at 2.6 on Tripadvisor from 287 reviews and 3.2 on Google from 450 it carries an Index of 3.00, still the lowest Tripadvisor score we track. We re-read the reviews on 6 September 2026; the newest are from August. It is a separate business from the similarly named Latinos Music Bar nearby.

Service is still the first complaint, and one male waiter is still the character in it. A Spanish group in April describe a despotic, big-ego server making gestures behind customers' backs and belittling his colleague after they praised her; a February reviewer was told the toilets were 'inside' and kept waiting for the bill; a June reviewer found the female staff lovely and the male service gruff and uninterested. The August Tripadvisor account is of Prosecco brought instead of Cava and the wrong daiquiri, then sullen denial.

The food fares no better in 2026: two ham and cheese sandwiches with sauces from a bag, a German reviewer who could taste rancid fat, another who compared the plate to a kit with packet salad and sachets, and a March report of raw chicken the restaurant still tried to charge for. Price is the recurring sting, with three plates at 96 euros, London-level prices noted, and several calling it the most expensive meal of their trip. The November 2025 double charge, evidenced and then ignored, remains on record.

There are good visits. A July Google reviewer with five adults and five children could not understand the negative reviews, with amazing food quickly served by three fine waitresses; Ed is named warmly for a June lunch of salmon and avocado toasts at a reasonable price; a dog walker rates the breakfast highly; one visitor calls the fish and chips the best so far. The Sunday lamb roast from November 2025 also got a good word.

Come, if at all, for breakfast or a shaded drink on the terrace when the waitresses are on, and check the bill before you pay it. For a meal the reviews say walk on; there is better a few doors away in either direction. Poor service
Ordered a Cava and a Beer. Beer was good, but they came back with Prosecco. No Cava available. Ordered a Daiquiri instead, they came back 10 minutes later with a Strawberry Daiquiri. The head waitress said that was what we ordered we said definitely not, the Spanish waitress who took the order didn't seem very fluent in English. Most unhemore →

Disappointing
Late lunch, large terrace, 2 sandwiches ham/cheese ordered and when we received the plate it was no more than that, without garnish and sauces from a bag. Pricey, but that's all it is in Gibraltar. Female service very nice and certainly did her best, male service very gruff and uninterested.more →

Perfect for lunch in the shade. Super staff.
Four of us sat outside for lunch and a cold beer. The staff were busy but very attentive. Ed was our waiter. Perfect English and a lovely helpful manner. The food was delicious - we had ‘toasts’ which was basically a large piece of toasted bread topped with a varied choice. The salmon was super with a lovely sauce. As was the avocado. Welmore →

Terrible service. The waiter is unpleasant and grumbling when the order is not placed fast enough and when asked questions, it breaks at another table. He's obnoxious. Run away unless you're masos!more →

I really do not understand why there are so many negative reviews. I am just sitting here. Five adults and five children. Amazing food. Amazing stuff. Food quickly delivered.
