Our review

The Bridge is a refurbished cocktail bar and lounge on the Ocean Village promenade, with marina views from inside and a terrace with patio heaters. It holds 4.9 on Tripadvisor from only 7 reviews and 4.4 on Google from 32, which gives an Index of 4.40. The reviews were re-read on 6 September 2026; the newest Tripadvisor review is from June 2026 and the newest Google review from August.

The good reviews are about the drinks and the people. Cocktails are described as properly made and balanced rather than sweet, a Caribbean Storm is named, and the staff are named more than the menu: Mario, sometimes written Marius, Elda or Alda, Ricardo, Valentina and Janos. The evening lighting changes the place, one reviewer says, and another visited four times in a week for the pear and goats cheese salad. A wine pairing night in March 2026 was well organised.

The Google score has slipped since July, and two one-stars explain it. In April 2026 a couple say a £24 bill for three drinks was charged to their card at £39.60; in August a party of fifteen adults and seven children describe a manager who kept commenting on the children, told them off for looking at the fish from the terrace, and staff who said children lowered the value of the place. The party left, and asked the bar to be honest about being adults-only if that is what it wants.

Food is a bonus rather than the point, but the small plates and a new menu draw good notes, and one reviewer praised clean toilets. With seven Tripadvisor reviews the 4.9 says little; the Google 4.4 is the number to read.

Come for a well-made cocktail on the marina with staff who remember you, ideally as a couple or a small group of adults; check your card receipt against the bill, and think twice about bringing a large family party. Great bar with delicious cocktails and food!
We recently visited Gibraltar and accidentally came across this bar but so glad we did. We visited twice during our stay in Gibraltar, once just for cocktails and the second time for food and cocktails. Both the cocktails and food were delicious. Trendy yet comfortable, it strikes that perfect balance between stylish and relaxed. Mario himself is warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly, which makes such a difference. Extremely disappointing experience at The Bridge. Our group arrived with 15 adults and seven children. The children were beautifully behaved throughout, and we were all having a wonderful time despite the increasingly unwelcoming attitude from the staff.
