Spur Battery
Its gun is in Duxford. The view over the Strait is still here.
A 9.2-inch naval gun was mounted here in 1902. It stayed until 1981, when it was dismantled and shipped to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, where it remains.
What is left is the emplacement and one of the better views on the Rock — down to Europa Point and its lighthouse, and straight out across the Strait.
