The Skywalk
A glass platform at 340 metres, built on a Second World War gun position.
A glass-floored viewing platform cantilevered off the ridge at 340 metres, opened in 2018 on the site of a Second World War military lookout. On a clear day the view takes in Gibraltar, Spain, the Strait and the Moroccan coast — three countries and two continents at once.
It is the newest thing in the reserve and the most photographed. It is also genuinely alarming if you dislike heights, because the floor is glass all the way down.
Our tip
Go early. It is small, it is on every tour itinerary, and by midday you are queueing to stand on it.
